Microgaming Software Systems becomes Apricot Investments

On June 27 this year, the famous developer announced that Microgaming Software Systems Limited will now be called Apricot Investments. The company will focus on investments, sticking to the gambling industry. The press release states that the company will pursue broader interests.

However, the Microgaming brand will not disappear. Oakwood Limited, which was owned by Microgaming Software Systems Limited, will now be called Quickfire Limited and run under the Microgaming brand.

Apricot Investments will be led by Roger Raatgever, who served as CEO of Microgaming for 17 years. But Quickfire Limited will be managed by John Coleman, who also held a position at Microgaming, but only as a financial director.

In general, for the players, I think everything remains the same. Games under the Microgaming brand will be produced as before. Moreover, now the developer himself practically does not release his games, but rather promotes the products of new studios under his own brand.
